Promptu Systems Corporation offers cutting-edge voice recognition and natural language understanding technology. Based in the heart of Silicon Valley, Promptu gives users a more natural way to interact with their devices—by speaking to them.
With Promptu's fluent language interface, users avoid the limitations of keyword based command products. Our products are developed in collaboration with major automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, MSOs and video streaming providers to ensure privacy, security, scalability and speed.

Executive Team
Giuseppe Staffaroni
President and CEO
A technology industry veteran with more than 25 years of European, U.S., and International experience, Staffaroni has an extensive background in marketing, product strategy, technology development, and general management. Prior to taking the lead at Promptu, Staffaroni spent nearly 15 years at LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE: LSI) where he served as Executive Vice President heading LSI's Consumer Products Group, a business unit providing leading-edge solutions for the rapidly expanding consumer electronics market. In this role, he oversaw marketing, product and business development, and engineering of LSI Logic's standard products and system-on-a-chip solutions for customers in the broadband access, broadband entertainment, and wireless markets. Prior to LSI Logic, Staffaroni worked in various technology and management positions at Texas Instruments, AT&T Microelectronics, and Zeltron, a unit of Electrolux.
Harry Printz
CTO and VP of Engineering
Printz has more than 30 years of experience in automatic speech recognition, computational linguistics and machine learning. Before joining Promptu, Printz was manager of Pervasive Conversational Technology at IBM's Watson Research Laboratory, where he directed research for IBM Embedded ViaVoice, the company's embedded speech recognition product. He also conceived and co-designed the IBM speech chip. Prior to IBM, he worked at the Digital Equipment Corporation's Paris Research Lab and at Bolt, Beranek and Newman. Printz holds a B.A. magna cum laude and an M.A. in physics from Harvard University, a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon. He holds 38 U.S. patents in the areas of speech recognition, data compression, natural language understanding and user interface design.
Alberto Tretti
VP Product Marketing
Alberto Tretti is VP of Product at Promptu, where he leads product strategy and execution. Previously, he spent 11 years at Meta working at the intersection of product, engineering and partnerships, leading teams responsible for some of the most widely used developer platforms, including Facebook’s Graph API, Instagram and Messenger. Prior to Meta, Alberto founded Glancee, a startup that built an app to help people connect with interesting individuals nearby. The startup was acquired by Facebook and the product later became known as "Nearby Friends." Alberto holds an MS in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and an MS in Computer Science from University of Illinois Chicago.
Daniele Poggetta
VP Business Development
Daniele has more than twenty years of international experience working for high-tech, consulting, media and FMCG companies. Before joining Promptu, he worked as a consultant for Campbell Alliance (now inVentiv Health Consulting) and ZS Associates, managing marketing and sales strategy projects in different countries across Europe and in the United States. Prior to ZS Associates, Daniele was e-commerce Business Development and Commercial manager for the internet division of Fininvest (the Italian holding company of one the world's largest communication groups). He also worked in product management roles for Kraft Food (now Mondelēz International) and Unilever in Italy. Daniele holds a BS in Business from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
